Remove "whitespace" from around timer?

There is a LOT of wasted space around the timer. I need to fit it into a very tight layout. Maybe add "crop" options to the timer setup page (you can just enter numbers for crop left, right, top, bottom)? Then I could trim it perfectly for my layout.
