Hi Daniel,

You can already use MotionMail timers in your responsive template. Just add the same styling to the MM image tag as you would any other image. For more info on how to make images responsive, check MailChimp's post here:

Hi Belinda,

The MotionMail timer is a simple animated GIF that should be rendered properly, unless Exact Target performs any kind of processing on their end. We've tested on several email marketing services (MailChimp, ConstantContact, etc) without issues. Unfortunately, we don't have any experience using Exact Target and I would recommend reaching out to them to get this resolved.

Hi Nur, unfortunately there's no good way to get a countdown timer to work in MS Outlook 2010 since it does not support animated GIFs.
Hi Saijo,

At this moment no, but we are interested in adding this in the near future. I'd be happy to keep you posted on our progress. You would be interested in promoting MotionMail?

Hi Omry,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This will be fixed on our next deployment.

Hi Pamela, thanks for getting in touch.

When you say "show a different count", what do you mean? Each time the image loads it should show the correct time remaining until the end date and time you have selected in the dashboard.  So if it is 1pm and you set the end time to 2pm, it should show 1 hour remaining. If you load it 1 minute from now on another device, it will show 59 minutes remaining.

Is this the behavior you see, or something else?   I'll note that there is some complex technology in the middle that caches the data for a short period so it can be delivered worldwide quickly, so there may be a small difference between times but they should be very similar overall.

As far as it taking 2 seconds each frame, the animated GIFs can become large if you have a large size timer, so it is possible to load more slowly. It could also load more slowly on a mobile device due to the browser settings or CPU limitations.
Currently, MotionMail does not change the timer countdown based on the user's local time. MM is designed to assist with events that have a specific time that the event starts or ends on. For example, a sale at your UK based website runs until 8pm GMT. If it is currently 7pm GMT, then users only have 1 hour left to purchase during the sale. So even if the user is located in Australia, for example, they would still only have 1 hour left regardless of their timezone.

Local language does look at the browser language code and updates the wording, but not the timezone.
Hi Nick,

Could you confirm that the timezone selected is the correct one? Does the timer preview in the timer builder show the correct time remaining?
Hello, thank you for the information. We will look into changing the translation in the near future.
